A wandering guitarist (who visited Italy, Spain, Germany, France, England), Corbetta had Robert de Visée among his pupils. This sumptuous book of tablature was first engraved in London. In the authors words it contains “pieces more beautiful and more novel than anything that has appeared before”: courantes, sarabands, allemandes, preludes. It ends with four vocal pieces with guitar accompaniment.
